Mapridge Green Lane junction with Rignall Road Reported anonymously at 08:50, Sat 14 December 2019 Deep potholes have appeared at the bottom of Mapridge Green Lane. These are now up to 3" deep and are dangerous. Cyclists hurtle down the lane from the woods and could easily be thrown off their bikes. When full of water - as the road often is - these deep holes are obscured. When it is icy, they fill with ice and become a skating rink. This is a serious accident waiting to happen. Mapridge Green Lane is a Council adopted highway yet in 50 years there has been no attempt to repair or resurface the road other than occasional buckets of soft tarmac which immediately disintegrate in the rain. The lane needs proper attention to repair its surface.
