Bridge parapet on west side of road
Reported in the Kerb damage / issue category anonymously at 08:29, Sat 22 June 2019
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1670202.
Brickwork of parapet is cracked, with a number of bricks dislodged lower down on south end. It looks like a vehicle has collided with the parapet. The cracking in the brickwork means that a large section could be dislodged into the road or pavement if another collision occurred.

This is an ancient wall, featured in 100 year old photos. It is unstable and has subsequently been movedslightly (probably by yobs). It can easily be repaired now using epoxy injection and the services of a good bricklayer for very little cost. If left it will be partially knocked over and could be a hazard to traffic.

Is there any update on this issue? We continue to have reports from the public to the Town Hall about the damage to this historic bridge and concern over the condition that it is in.

Nothing has happened except that the wall is deteriorating because it has been left in an unstable condition. This is an historic wall thhat deserves to be rep[aired as a matter of urgency. Peter Mountain MCIOB.
