A4010 Aylesbury Road, Princes Risborough - between The Avenue and Robinson Close

Reported in the Sign problem category anonymously at 13:40, Friday 22 November 2019

Received by Buckinghamshire County Council moments later

Large '30' mph speed limit sign on a yellow backing board has been installed on a new post at this location for traffic travelling towards Princes Risborough town centre. This length of road is subject to a '30' mph speed limit by virtue of street lighting. The regulations covering highway signing prohibits the use of '30'mph repeater signs on roads that are subject to a '30'mph speed limit by virtue of street lighting. Can you therefore please explain why this sign has been provided as it very presence may very well invalidate the whole '30'mph speed limit on this length of road.
