Parking bays opposite rectory terrace, park road
Reported in the Flooded subway category anonymously at 21:15, Mon 6 January 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 7 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1922347.
Parking issue. There is flooding in the Bay Area where cars park. There is no where for the water to drain. When you park you are parking in water. In addition to this, the area in which you park is not deep enough. You have to park on some of the grass. This combined with the flooding has effectively created a mud bath too.
Can I please make a suggestion that concrete bay is extended further back (as the grass is just being damaged anyway). This would allow for safer parking from a main, busy road.
I would appreciate an up date in response to this.

The water levels continue to cause more problems. Again preventing you from entering/leaving your car without being in water. The water has now spread over to the zebra crossing again, meaning that you have to walk over in water this is also a health and safety issue. The mud continues to churn in the water making the area even more messy. Due to the way the lay-by is for parking, vehicles stick out so when you step onto the zebra crossing on-coming cars can not see you and often have to slam on their breaks. We are concerned for our safety and especially for children.
