Mud on Chesham Road and footpath
Reported in the Road surface category anonymously at 12:57, Wed 15 January 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1939375.
Someone from the Council needs to take a drive down Chesham Road from Chesham to Great Missenden with specific attention to Hyde End. On 30th December, a tractor (presumably a council contractor?) scraped all the overgrown grass and mud and debris off of the public foot-paths for about a mile through Hyde End village, but he left all the churned up muck as he went. There now remains a mile long mound of muck about a foot high, lining all of this footpath and in places the main road, plus big hollows in the actual paths where it has been scraped too hard. Given there is no street lighting here, and lots of ramblers, and it has now been like this almost 2 weeks, it will be a miracle if the Council are not sued for this by someone falling over it or skidding on the mud. Come and have a look; it is UNBELIEVABLE. The contractor should be sacked; they are obviously a moron to leave it this way. I've lived here 15 years and the paths have NEVER been cleared in that time, so you can imagine how much muck has been churned up and left.
