Junction of Fowler Road/Oxford/Churchill Avenue
Reported in the Traffic lights & crossings problems with timings category anonymously at 10:44, Thu 16 April 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2089088.
The traffic lights on Fowler Road/Oxford road have stopped sensing when there are no vehicles.
Up until about 6 weeks ago the lights would alter their sequencing if there were no vehicles on a particular approach(s) to the junction. Now even if you are the only vehicle on the junction and it turns red as you approach you have to wait until it sequences through ALL the other approached before it goes green again. That can be 3 minutes or so with no traffic flowing unnecessarily.
This is reducing the flow through this busy road junction unnecessarily.
