Blocked street drain causing chaos and damage
Reported in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 20:21, Wed 8 July 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2192029.
This drain has been blocked for well over a year now..... the situation with the council completely neglecting the problem for so long has got to the point were my mother and stepdad have given up trying. This blocked drain has been causing cars to splash and run on to our drive for so long the drive is like a mud pit. This problem is so bad the Bucks Free Press thought it was worthy to run a article about it (https://www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/ news/ 18109449.prestwood-residents-fury-flooding-chaos-busy-wycombe-road/ )
The fact this is still a problem over 7 months later in July (see date of article the problem was present months before said article as you shall know from your records) should show the severity of this issues (the problem is still this bad and I can look at said flooding as I type this message). this is not only just a little puddle it causes a stream to run against the house which has already lead to damp and will do more damage down the road. the fact the spot where this occurs is about to be re paved is a joke when that money could be used to solve the evident drainage issues outside. I hope the council finally take this seriously and into consideration, enough is a enough and i will not be silent about this until the problem is resolved. I will be letting the local community know through a Facebook group and asking them to all report the problem as they also will agree how disgusting blind eye the council have shown to this issue. as well as this since this is actually a very dangerous situation when we have to leave our premises with this flood outside i will be putting cones in the round so cars will need to use the oncoming lane to go around the flood, I will be doing this until the issues is resolved. I hope this is enough to finally persuade the council to do their job and maintain the drains and resolve the issues. you will be hearing from me again if this is not dealt with!!!
Many thanks George Enticknap
