Road now causing flooding
Reported in the Road surface category anonymously at 12:15, Fri 14 August 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2245156.
We are the Garage opposite lodge lane. Since the new houses were built, the road surface has been damaged. This was caused by weight of the large lorries and with the road having been dug up for varies utilities. When the houses were built no drainage was installed to allow for the rain water coming down Lodge Lane. Now the water runs straight across the road (which it never did before) and comes straight down into our yard and floods our workshop. As you can appreciate the amount of water we have had lately has caused a lot of problems and a lot of damage. Our workshop has flooded today with just 10 minutes of rainfall. This is an urgent request for something to be sorted with the road and drainage as we cannot cope with this amount of water.

Road is being resurfaced as we speak. Nothing is being done to sort out the drainage issue, in fact they are creating a more direct route for the water to come straight down to our workshop. The water issue is now going to be worse than it was before where we will now receive 100% of the water rather than 80/90%. The on site Supervisor, Savatori, who we spoke to before work commenced, was well aware of the water issue as we were keen to make sure it was going to be sorted when work commenced. Savatori is now denying the conversation. There is also no edging been made to the road so it won't be long until the road starts to crumble as cars will be driven over it daily. Can someone please come out and speak to us about this issue before we get flooded again.
