In progress
Rutland street corner off of suffield road. Leading to Wendover Street
Reported via desktop in the Street light not working category anonymously at 21:08, Wed 28 October 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2361685.
Street lights are not working. Pedestrian walkway and road extremely dark. Not really safe to walk down. Only light is from windows and one or two wall lights in the block of flats. If the lampposts were working just like the main road it would provide adequate lighting. People could get injured, the road is tight anyway for cars and would be a great improvement.

Thank you for reporting this problem, which has been investigated. The repair process has identified that there is a fault with the electricity supply and an order has been issued to the relevant supplier to repair.

Problem still not ben fixed. Approaching a year in a few months. What is going on?

Could somebody please provide an update on this? This was reported on 28/10/20 and still appears to be outstanding. As we are approaching the darker evenings the same problem still exists and it is extremely unsafe. Without going into too much detail, if somebody was to have a accident/incident, I wouldn't be confident Bucks Council could evidence they have done as much as reasonably practicable and would likely be looking at an enforcement notice, law suits and compensation from the claimant. Please could this be addressed so we can feel safe walking on our streets.

Still not fixed and it is now over a year?! Not even an update? Do the council just not care? How does something so minor really take so long?! If somebody hurts themselves you will be wishing you listened to me and acted sooner. This is disgraceful!

Approaching 2 years and the council have not either fixed or updated me on progress. When the dark evenings approach again, this will be 2 years of pitch black streets. It is going to take someone to fall and seriously injure themselves, or a fatal incident, for the council to show interest. It is disgraceful.
