Grass area in front of Dupont Cottages (23 & 25 Totteridge Lane)

Reported via desktop in the Dangerous Parking category anonymously at 18:16, Tuesday 1 February 2022

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

The grass area in front of Dupont Cottages and adjacent to Bellus Cafe was originally planned in the 1960s to be a picturesque and pedestrian safe area between the newly built main road and the residential homes in the now designated `Totteridge Conservation Area'. For many months the grass has been used as a car park then driven along at speed for a convenient exit, causing danger to pedestrians and excessive damage to the grass which now looks like a mud track, neglected with no respect shown for the area or residents. A few years ago bollards were installed on the green, is it possible the council could install more to protect this part of the `Totteridge Conservation Area' or possibly signs stating Byelaws similar to the sign across the road, or `Please do not park on the grass/in front of gates'.
