Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later
When the double yellow lines were implemented to stop parking along Kingshill Rd, they were stopped at the 30/40 speed limit sign. This left a gap over about two van lengths to the footpath and vegetation. One van owner now uses that gap as his private parking space. Now clearly he has broken no laws, but surely this is not the spirit in which the double yellow lines were intended? Where he parks is actually far more dangerous than the vehicles that used to park on the pavement along there as it impedes the traffic flow as the road narrows as it goes into the woods away from Terriers.
This has been passed to the Parking Services Team.
Subject to available resources, a civil enforcement officer (traffic warden) will go and assess, and if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a parking restriction, a penalty charge notice may be issued.
